So here we are. 2025. My thought for you this week? Let’s try one little fun New Years resolution. If you listened to the podcast for this week, you hear Jon and I chatting about this. Why not join us in having a fun little something you’re gonna have a resolution about.
Me?
No soft drinks. Which is sort of boring, in some ways, but fun to try at the same time. Not that I’m consuming prodigious amounts of Pepsi, but we could all use a little less soda, am I right? Goodness knows I feel that way after seeing one of those random Instagram posts where some doctor guy puts all the sugar from one singular can into a measuring cup and it’s like 7 pounds of sugar or something.
I digress.
A few categories you could think on for yours:
Spiritual - reading your bible more, praying more, etc.
Physical - running x amount a week, working out a week, pushups a day, etc.
Mental - books read for the year, masterclass you’re gonna take, something you wanna learn to do by the end of the year, etc.
Emotional - going to counseling, working on your mental health, etc.
So, what’s yours gonna be?
What I'm reading...
Nothing!!! Don't judge me!
What I'm Listening to...
Olivia Dean "Reason to Stay"
TRY to listen to this song and then not sing it for the rest of the day. You can't. I can't. It's too good.
What I'm thinking about...
As is typical for this time of year, I'm thinking about being productive while at the same time not shaming myself when I'm not being productive. I'm thinking about getting better at time management and planning while at the same time being in the present moment and not living in the future all the time. I'm thinking about being a better parent to my girls...being patient and compassionate while at the same time having set boundaries and following through on consequences.
LET'S HAVE A GREAT 2025 PEOPLE!
