We’ve been watching a decent amount of the Winter Olympics at the Barnes house and I have found myself thinking a lot about two things -
1. The fact that so many of these athletes practice for years and years and years and years to compete for less than a MINUTE in some of these competitions blows my mind. Feels like absolute insanity to me. But I respect the heck out of it.
2. To compete in conditions that you can’t control and change as the day goes on in so many of these competitions is again, absolutely crazy to me. To train for months/years only to compete in conditions you have zero control of is bananas. But again, I have a TON of respect for those athletes!
