This week we have a Super Bowl MVP joining Dadville. Nick Foles recently retired from the NFL after an 11-year career that had him breaking more records than a caffeinated bull in a vintage vinyl shop. He joins the fellas to discuss the finer points of coaching his daughter's flag football team, transitioning to life as an ex-player, and his new DAD SZN brand.

What I’m Reading…
The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt
I don’t know about you but I think about how much time my kids are on screens a lot. Like a lot. It’s a new fun thing for parents to feel guilt about. Yay! And now that I have a child rapidly approaching the teenage years I’m especially thinking about social media and gathering data on how harmful it is for kids and young girls especially.
Amy and I aren’t the type of parents who keeps their kids off screens entirely (if you’re one of those parents more power to you) but we have taken a pretty hard stance against any social media and plan on holding to that for a long, long time. So this book is kind of bolstering my resolve as we head into the thick of it. I’m about halfway through it and it’s a lot of data/stats/etc. but very interesting.
What I’m Listening to…
This may be a disappointing answer here so I apologize but I have been trying to just put Spotify on in my headphones and let it play random music. I’m not great a listening to new music. I don’t know why. Maybe it’s just that I don’t want to roll the dice on music that I don’t know if I like yet or not? But I do find that when I listen to new music (this mostly happens when I’m on a run) I always end up having a new idea for a song. A title or a lyric will almost always pop up in my mind.
So my answer to what I’m listening to is: just random music that I’ve never heard before.
What I’m Thinking About…
I’ve been on the road for the past week and tomorrow morning I’m flying home to see the fam and I CANNOT WAIT.

Our guest this week is Craig Melvin, who is a co-host of the Today Show and the author of Pops: Learning to Be a Son and a Father.
