What I'm Reading...
Malcom Gladwell's Revenge of the Tipping Point
I am a massive Malcom Gladwell fan. I read Outliers 10ish years ago or so and I then went on to read everything he's put out. If you haven't read any of his stuff I'm jealous because I wish I could erase it all from my brain just so I could consume it all again for the first time. In full disclosure, I actually listened to this book on Audible which I almost recommend for his stuff because it is so well produced.
What I'm listening to...
When I put a new album out, the hope is that as many people as possible will take the time from their busy lives and listen to the new album front to back. I realize this is a very big ask and the ask just keeps getting bigger as time goes on and lives get busier and attention spans get shorter. Dawes is on a short list of artists/bands that I will do this for. I listened to their new album from start to finish while on a run the other day. I recommend it if you have the time!
What I'm Thinking About...
After I finish this paragraph I'm hopping in the car and driving to east Nashville to continue recording for my new record (a pop record not a new MOOD record - MOOD Christmas is coming out next month though!!!). I'm thinking about the songs...thinking about any changes that maybe could/should be made...I'm getting excited!
