For months now we've been hearing the Dadville nation clamoring for another episode with Elliott Cherry, Pastor at Midtown Fellowship. Well, we've delivered. Elliott joins the fellas at Dadville HQ for a chat about Coldplay, Ecclesiastes, sports, the complexities of affection, and those tricky birth order dynamics. Thankfully, Elliott also has an incredible sense of humor, which is tested thoroughly.

First—and this isn’t really a “pick” but I wanted to just say a HUGE thanks to everyone who came out to my shows this year. Yes, I’ve got a couple more Christmas shows, but I wanted to just say thanks to all of you wonderful people who got babysitters, paid for parking, paid for meals, paid for tickets, probably got home late, and many times had to get up and go to work the next morning—it means the world.
As I always say at my shows, if y’all don’t do that (coming to shows), I don’t get to do this (make music). I’m really thankful for y’all!
Second—The Family Man. It’s coming on Christmas, to quote Joni Mitchell, and it’s starting to be time for Christmas movies. This one is not TECHNICALLY a Christmas movie, but it’s set during Christmas, so it gets in on technicality. SO—for anyone looking for a great movie to watch over the next few weeks to get in the Christmas mood - to quote Maui, “You’re welcome.”

This week is gonna be short and sweet smelling.
A few months ago a friend of mine needed a car for a couple days because their car was in the shop. Seeing my friend in need I selflessly and heroically offered my car to them to drive until their car was done.
(... Yes, I was going to be out of town for this entire time and so my car would have been just sitting in my driveway and therefore this required zero actual sacrifice but let's not get bogged down in the details ...)
Before I loaned my car to my friend I let them know that I had just finished doing a ton of yard work and I had had many bags of mulch sitting in my car for quite a long time and to just be aware that my selfless act would come with a hint of manure smell. Well, long story short (or just told) they went out and put a car freshener in my car that honestly has changed my life (is that too dramatic?).
I had never put a car freshener in my car before. I had only experienced the ones that smell waaaay too strong and always cherry. Always cherry. But the ones Ranger Station makes are awesome. Ranger Station is not a sponsor of the pod and I'm not receiving any kick backs from this promotion here I'm just a fan!
