Momville is back! We are taking this month to celebrate moms and first up is Amy Brown. You likely know her as the long-time co-host of the Bobby Bones Show, but her story is deep, inspiring, and somewhat hilarious. After relaying the incredible story of starting her career in radio (shoutout Culvers!), Amy talks about her experience as the mom of two adopted Haitian children, how much of her personal life she should share, and so much more.

“Then There Was Love” is the newest single from my upcoming September release, The Songs that Got Away. Many of us have that one story about the person/love that changed everything.“Then There Was Love” is a song for all those who know what that feels like.
“Then There Was Love was one of those songs I loved so much immediately. Jon Green (James Bay, Linkin Park, Calvin Harris, Lady A, Phillip Phillips, Jason Mraz) and I wrote the song with Ben Rector for Ben to record, but it was just one of those songs that Ben kept flirting with recording but just never did.
I LOVED Jon’s demo of it - how warm it was, how much it feels like a band. It also is one of those lyrics that I think anyone can relate to, so thinking of it as something that I could also sing was really easy.
There’s something about how simple the chord progression and chorus melody is that always drew me in. It’s just one of those songs that’s not just fun and easy to sing, but I think is really fun and easy to listen to also!” -Dave
I shared a few weeks back that I'm going to attempt to do an Ironman in November. Well, come to find out the training involves a lot of time swimming, running and cycling. I do a lot of the cycling on a trainer (basically my bike but hooked up to a thing that makes it stationary) and so I have looooooots of time to listen to music, podcasts and watch tv. The other day I just googled "triathlon documentaries" to get inspired and I found this INSANE documentary about this guy who did 50 IRONMAN TRIATHLONS IN 50 STATES IN 50 DAYS.
You read that right.
It's a really interesting doc and that's worth the watch.
I also shared a few weeks back about a little side project I started called open things. and I wanted to share a new song I just put out under that project. The song is called "ticking tocks" and I think it might be one of the best piano instrumental songs I've written. Also, my daughter, Liv, is learning it on the piano and IT. IS. ADORABLE.
Hope you like it!
